Bah-ka Bah-ka!

How do you like my chicken with my head cut off impression? Bah-ka! Bah-ka! Seriously folks, things are a little nuts around here with the big show starting tomorrow and everything. I set up most of my booth yesterday and today I have to go back to finish up. If I wasn’t so pressed for time, booth set up is actually one of my favourite things. It used to be a product merchandiser for a chain of 14 stores so setting up just one booth is kinda relaxing.
Yesterday, in the midst of setting up my booth, I had to go in for a check up at the doctors. What was I THINKING when I set up this appointment I don’t know but anyways, I had to go in. So I’m sitting in the waiting room staring at the clock tick-tock-tick-tock. I had so much on my mind and so much left to do. How long was this going to take?
Half an hour later the doctor finally sees me, she checks my blood pressure and gives me a look.
Doctor: “You have a big show coming up in two days?”
Me: “Yep, just came over from the booth set up actually”
Docotr: “Hmmm… Your blood pressure is running abnormally high. I want you to sit here for a few minutes and take deep breaths. I’ll come back and take your blood pressure again.”
Me: “!@#&$*!”
Have you ever tried to calm down in a hurry? It doesn’t work so well. At the end the doctor passed me with a clean bill of health (and some finger wagging about learning to deal with stress).
