Growing Pains

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! Sorry for dropping off the face of the earth the last few days. No I’m not party binging in fat pants and Hello Kitty backpack. I’m in the midst of a TOTAL studio rearrange. I’ll post before and after pictures when the whole kit and kaboodle is finished but needless to say, I’m covered head to toe in paint and debris. Since Smitten Kitten started 4 years ago, I’ve had to move the studio into two different areas in our house. Progressively from smaller to bigger spaces. This time we’re moving the whole operation into the entire first floor of our home (meaning we’ll be living upstairs and working downstairs). It’s the biggest (and only) option left. If I grown out of this space then I’ll be setting up shop in in the front yard!
I was crazy to think that I actually had time for this big move. In my head it’s just after Christmas so in THEORY it was the slow time of the year so what a great time for this. In actuality we’re 3 weeks away from the biggest trade show we’ve ever done. Timing is bad yes but the move is necessary. So I better stop yabbling here and get back to work. I’ll write more about the move (and the trade show) soon I promise!

Yay! Good luck on the renovating; I know how much of a pain in the ass that can be. On the upside, think of how nice soothing it will all be when everything is neatly organized. Soooothing. Yes.
