A Superbowl of fun

We went over to our friends last night to watch the Superbowl (yawn). I was more there for the chips and dip than the actual game. To me, the 6 hours of pre-game show is entirely self indulgent and unnecessary, I mean the Oscars only have a couple hours of red carpet footage. So really who’s the girly girl here, the Oscars or the Superbowl?
If there’s one thing I like about the superbowl (and yes there is just ONE thing), it’s their commercials. Now usually I detest commercials but Superbowl commercials are a different breed, so I actually look forward to seeing them. But since Canadian stations don’t air the same commercials during the Superbowl as our neighbours to the south, I have to wait till this morning to check ‘em out on-line. So while eating my bowl of Frosted Flakes (I’m in a product placement state of mind now), I downloaded a bunch of them to watch. Here are a few of my favourites…
Coke Zero - a fresh take on an old classic. Cute so I’m drinking Coke from now on.
Pepsi - with the real McGyver so I’m switching back to Pepsi now.
Monster.ca - so funny it almost makes me want to look for a job on their website!
Bud Light - Bud Light commercials are usually stoopid but there’s this one’s awesome!
Fedex - not this year’s commercial but one of my all time favourites:
And my favourite of ALL time. I don’t even know what they sell but I can’t stop watching it!
