Perfect timing
20th April, 09
I’m not sure what’s been going on. Since Christmas I’ve been catching every little cold and germ that’s been floating around. For someone who works in a bubble most of her days (as opposed to someone who works in a busy office environment I mean), I sure have been susceptible to catching every Tom, Dick and Harry Flu this year.
I’m never like this! I hardly ever get sick. This leads me to believe that my immune is down. I guess I better start doing whatever it is that people do to keep well. So what like pop multivitamins instead of Skittles? In bed by 9:30 instead of 1:00? Walk to McDonalds instead of drive? What do people do to stay healthy??
I’ve been at home with a nasty cough/cold the last few days. This makes me anxious since I don’t have time to be sick again! I really need to be in tip top shape right now to cook up new product ideas for the looming Stationery Show. Nothing like a sniffle here and a cough cough there to disrupt creativity. Rather than force ideas (or I might just end up designing a whole bunch of get well cards), I decided that the best thing to do was to give it time and ride out this cold with soup and juice. Lucky for me there was a Law and Order marathon on TV this weekend. Nothing like a little “dume-dume” to feel better right? Woohoo!
Oh but the boy wasn’t having any of it. There was no way he was going to let me stay indoors during such a beautiful sunny weekend. So on Saturday he bundled me up and put me in the car for a lovely trip to St. Jacobs market. I have to admit, I’m super glad I went ‘cos all that fresh air and sunshine did make me feel a ton better. Not to mention I found the CUTEST cookie jar to add to my collection! *love*
The timing couldn’t have been better ‘cos today the skies are grey and rain is pouring. I’m not 100% better but definitely feel good enough to buckle down, put my thinking cap on and get some serious work done.

Hope you feel better. I’m sure your dear cookie jar will look over you.
