Weekend update
27th April, 09
What beeeeeautiful weather we had last weekend! Except for a short bout of crazy thunderstorms late Saturday afternoon, the weather in Toronto was amazing. We woke up early on Saturday to visit a horsie farm just outside of Toronto. The boy was writing an article about a horse called “Not a Prude” who lives there. I of course took this opportunity as unofficial press photographer to tag along. I don’t think we could’ve picked a better time to go.
It was like visiting Dr. Doolittle’s farm! There was about 40 horses there, plus 5 dogs, 8 cats and 3 bunnies. Here’s the boy playing a friendly game of “fetch the rock” with one of the pups. Seriously, these large puppies loved playing fetch with river rocks the size of my fist. Grrrr… tough guys!
“Not a Prude” sticking his tongue out at the camera. Cheeky monkey!
Sweet 6 years old Emma was showing us around the farm. She showed us one of her miniature horses. Lucky me gets to have my picture taken with a real live My LIttle Pony!
I realize now that I looked like a total city slicker in the photo (Mental note to wear more earth tones on my next visit). And after stepping in my ninth pile of horse doodie I’m convinced that I need a pair of green Hunter wellies.
What’s this little guy’s name again? Oh I forget! He made himself right at home on one of the suitcase props we brought with us for the photo shoot. I think he was hinting that he wanted us to adopt him. Pretty please can we?
We had an awesome time. Thanks especially to Emma for showing us around!

You can read all about adopting a horse on the OSAS website.
I like the Amy-sized horses best!

Hmmmmph! It might look like I’m only about as tall as Emma who’s six years old, but I was leaning forward in the photo!
And I’d rather be small than say, someone who’s almost as tall as a horse! Yeah I’m looking at the photo of you and “Not a Prude”.
