Mini weekend road trip

*yawn* If you’re wondering what I’m doing up at this ungodly hour, the boy and I are heading off to Louisville Kentucky today for a mini road trip. We’re only going for the weekend, which seems a little crazy considering the drive to Kentucky is 8 hours, but leaving early today and coming home late Sunday means it’s almost like having 3 whole days there right? RIGHT??
I’m especially excited since this is officially the boy’s trip. Boy trip means we’re going to Kentucky so the boy could visit a couple horsie farms and race track and write articles for the paper. Whereas if this was a girl trip (my trip, like when we went to NYC a couple weeks ago), we’d be going to another city to do a trade show or a craft show. On a boy trip, I don’t have to worry about packing product, paperwork, catalogues, displays no nothing! I travel so much for work that almost forget what it’s like to go on a trip for no reason other than to just go visit another city. This time around I can just pack an overnight bag, passport and I’m good to go. Woohoo!
The yucky part, which is getting up before the sun’s out, is already over with. So we’re left with a whole weekend of sunshine, fresh air and open road. I’m sure I’ll be more excited once I wake up a little, but for now I have to make coffee quick quick before I fall back asleep. See you guys on Monday. Have a great weekend!
