Hello New Stores!

Please say hello to our lovely new retailers! Mixed Media is Hamilton’s only independent art shop which feature locally made gift items, greeting cards and a whole bunch of other cool things. We met Dave and Teresa of Mixed Media a couple weeks ago while they were giving us an introduction to Hamilton’s gallery district, and were thrilled to find out they’ve been Smitten Kitten lovers for a while now. Our serendipitous meeting proved the perfect opportunity for them to stock their cool little store with our products. Yay!
We’re so excited to add Steeling Home to our list of retailers not only because they are located in Calgary Alberta (my old stomping grounds), but because lovely owner Jennifer and I finally met in person after corresponding through email for a couple years, it was almost like running into an old friend! Since recently relocating to a bigger and much brighter space on the 17th Avenue shopping district, Steeling Home is packed with unique treasures and home décor accents. A must see if you’re in the area!
Not that I would ever wish anyone to have to go to the hospital for any reason, but if you happen upon St. Joseph’s Hospital you might be pleasantly surprised at finding a wonderful little gift shop unlike any other. Operating manager Carol has a keen eye for the cute and eclectic and her shop is chock full of unique gift items.
For those who don’t already know, McNally Robinson is an independent bookseller and a waaaay better alternative to corporate-chain bookstores. When they opened their first Ontario location up at the Shops at Don Mills district last April, we couldn’t be more excited. We equally excited to have them as one of our new retailers! They have 5 locations now (in Toronto, Winnipeg, Saskatoon and NYC) so it might be best to call ahead first and check if the location near you stocks our goodies.
