Home sweet home!
15th December, 09
After what seems like a month of non-stop work, no sleep, TWO back to back One Of A Kind Shows and traveling to NYC, we’re home! We arrived home late last night and was greeted by a couple of really grouchy kitty cats. “Where have you been? We missed you!” they seem to say. Sorry cuties mommy and daddy had to go to New York for a craft show. Don’t worry, we’ll have no more of this traveling silliness till next year I promise!
Thank you for everyone who came to see us at the One Of A Kind Show! We had a great time. I love that Toronto as a community always support the arts no matter what. Recession, schm-cession! People came out in troves and were eager to buy. You guys are the best and really, as an artisan, I appreciate your support!
After another super busy show season, I’m happy that we still have Christmas to look forward to. It’s funny, no matter how exhausted I get from the shows, or how many tacky Christmas songs they play in the malls, or the rude shoppers pushing and shoving in line ups, I’m always in the mood for Christmas. We’ve got 18 people coming over to our “Orphans Christmas Party” this Friday. The house is a mess, I haven’t unpacked the car, put up our tree, bought a turkey, or buy gifts for anyone but no worries, I’ll be ready right?? I’ll be ready!
For those of you who aren’t in the know. We host a Orphans Christmas very year since what like 2001. Last year’s party was a bit dicey since both my kitchen-handy gay husbands moved away on me so I had to do it all myself. This year however, Gay husband #2 is flying in from Chicago to help. Thanks Luis you’re the best!!
Alright, here we go. No rest for the wicked! I have to unpack the car before I go buy a Christmas tree. Where am I going to put said tree? Hmmm… Should really go buy a turkey too. Tick tock tick tock…
