Empire state of mind

7th May, 10

One of the things I particularly love about The National Stationery Show is that it’s in New York (duh!).  It’s nice ‘cos you work at the show all day and afterwards you get to go out and enjoy the city.  This time around there’s a couple things I really want to check out.

One of my favourite artists, Mark Ryden, is having a show in New York the same time we’re there. Yay!  I was lucky enough to stumble upon his art exhibit at the Kochsbos Gallery in Amsterdam last year but this time I’ll be going especially to see his new work.

The other place I spy with my little eye is the Sweetiepie Restaurant.  What a cute name!  Call me crazy but I’ll pretty much eat anywhere that has  gilded birdcages, cupcakes, tea-sets and cherry red upholstery.

I gotta be careful not to set my sight on too many activities because honestly, after standing and talking all day at the show,  all I really want to do is curl up with some ice cream in front of a TV and veg out.  But I can do that when I get home right?

Right! *cue this song to set the mood*
