28th May, 2012
Last Saturday we made our biannual pilgrimage to the Christie Antique Show.  Have you guys been before?  It’s the largest antique show in Canada!
Granted with this kind of clout, it’s definitely more of an antique market rather than a flea market.  Prices run higher than other shows I’ve been to, with the usual [...]

17th Jan, 2011

Over the weekend we went up to a friend’s cottage to celebrate his birthday.
We didn’t do a heck of a lot for three days except sit by the fire, hang out and eat and drink ourselves silly.  Oh and we played board games and charades as well of course.

It’s so nice to take [...]

The Lomography Gallery Store just opened up on Queen West Toronto.  Here are some quick snaps of their store opening last night.

Rubber necking peeps trying to catch a glimpse of the band.

The concept store was packed wall to wall with lomo lovin’ peeps!  After [...]

A couple of nifty finds over the weekend…
I LOVE gnomes and I’m pretty sure I squealed when I came across these guys!  It’s totally the wrong season right now and I can’t wait to put them in my garden this spring.
In the meantime they are diligently guarding my hallway.  Good lads!

Pink. Poodle. Tea. [...]

21st October, 2010
To continue on our journey…
We left London after uneventful visits to Camden Market, Carnaby Street and Covent Garden *yawn* and made an overnight pit stop at my old Alma Matar located in Ashford Kent.  It’s been 22 years since I’ve been back and even still, I remembered where everything was.

The field [...]

19th October, 2010

Ahh yes, sorry for not writing lately but I’ve been away on holiday.  The Boy and I took a trip to England and Northern Ireland to visit family for a couple weeks.  We had a lovely time and alas, as with all vacations it ended too soon.
That being said, I’m so happy to [...]

queens plate

Monday, July 5th, 2010

5th July, 2010
It was Toronto Pride last Sunday and in the past I’ve always gone to celebrate and watch the Pride Parade with my gay husbands.  This year however, I opted to accompany The Boy to the Queen’s Plate.  I mean c’mon people, it does it get any gayer than meeting the Queen?!

Of course I’m [...]

Bang Bang!

8th June, 2010

It was my birthday yesterday!  To celebrate, The Boy took me to a gun range.
What the !@&# you say?  To a gun range?  That is indie stationery designer unbecoming!
To be clear, I’m not some kind of gun lovin’ nut that lives in a backwoods trailer.  No Deliverance here!  I’m just the kinda person [...]

26th April, 10
How was your weekend?  Hope y’all managed to get outside a little bit to enjoy the sunshine.  If you’re in Calgary though, I hear you guys got some snow.  I would say I’m surprised but having lived there for about 8 years I know that snow in June even isn’t something out of [...]
